	Our mission is to provide residential, educational and small business solutions to non-polluting electricity generation. This is achieved primarily through the use of wind and solar energy. West Wind Renewable is located in Niagara County and serves the greater Western New York area. Our specialty is the installation of grid inter-connected wind turbines. If you think you might be interested in one, please contact us. Although not yet certified to install photo voltaic solar (PV), West Wind can currently refer existing installers to meet your needs.

Dalrymple Farms wind turbine goes up! On a breezy but unseasonably warm day, history was made as the first grid-tied wind turbine in Niagara County was erected. The 100 foot tower with the beautiful Bergey Excel S 10kW turbine atop started attracting positive attention before it was even finished. The farm owners, Dennis and Hope Dalrymple were very excited to see their months of anticipation finally come to fruition. West Wind Renewable Energy president Frank Westgate got lucky with the weather. Everything else was carefully planned and executed, especially in choosing the best sub-contractors to assist in the project. Among the sub-contractors involved were: Newfane General Contracting for foundation work, Farley Riggers and Moving, Inc. for the crane, Advanced Technology Services for electrical work and Four Winds Renewable for consulting and oversight for NYSERDA.

West Wind Renewable Energy is granted approval for its first Wind Installation Incentive under NYSERDA PON 792. The project is for the installation of a 10 kW, grid-connected Bergey BWC EXCEL-S on a 100 foot guyed tower at the Dalrymple Farm in Appleton, NY.

Frank Westgate of West Wind Renewable is granted eligibility as an installer in the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA) Wind Incentive Program (PON 792) on a provisional basis.

The easiest and most cost-effective way to reduce your electric bill (and the production of greenhouse gases and dependence on fossil fuels) is through reduced usage. West Wind Renewable can provide an evaluation of current electric usage and suggest ways to save money through conservation and using appliances and devices that consume less electricity.

Once current usage and conservation measures are taken, West Wind Renewable will recommend a renewable energy system based on usage, location and budget. All aspects of the project, including planning, permitting, applying for available incentives, installation and grid inter-connection (where applicable) will be completed by us.
